OUR PURPOSE: TO WORSHIP GOD, BY SPREADING THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS, AND SEEKING PRACTICAL WAYS OF SHARING HIS LOVE
Queen Street Central Hall is an ideal place of worship for large or small congregations. The membership is gathered from around the town and local area and seeks to offer a warm welcome to all. Over the years Queen Street has enjoyed a good preaching ministry which is continued today through our minister, Rev. Geoff Bowell. Geoff and his wife, Helen and family, commenced their ministry in Scarborough in September 2006 having served previously in Peterhead and Mosborough. The prayer life of the church and the fellowship shared together has become an important part of our way forward. Bible study, Home groups and Alpha courses are all part of the church development. An alternative style of worship is offered on the first Sunday morning of the month at 9 am called Sunday Morning Open. More recently the church has embarked on Messy Church Sessions (for all ages) and Café Church which are both going well. There is a Circuit Youth Fellowship and Boys’ Brigade Company attached to the church. At the beginning of 2012 the Central Pop-In opened up on a Saturday morning for coffee, cake and a chat.
